The Reason We Rushed To The Doctor...

On Sunday morning I was upstairs with Karoline, David, Anderson, and Jon and noticed that Anderson's hands were SO swollen! I was very scared and called the on call doctor and I took him right way... we missed church. His feet ended up swelling too and he started getting hives all over and a low fever. The doctor said it was a virus of some kind and Anderson has been on Steroids and Benedryl all week! Poor little man...

Anyway, that was the start of what has been a busy week! I have worked every day and I am SO tired. It's been great and I do love what I am doing but it's hard being away from my babies. I am SO thankful that TJ is the amazing father/ husband that he is... he's been so supportive and kept the house very clean!

And here are a few other things that's going on with our family... Mom comes on Monday for a visit until the 31st. THEN their moving date is April 6th so they should be here around the 8th...
Hope you enjoy the pictures...
Before church...

We spent some time outside... it was so beautiful!

PopPop Joins The Fun

PopPop flew in on Thursday for his first trip to Myrtle Beach... it was a quick trip, but he is keeping GiGi company on the drive back to LA. We had a great time and the kids were very excited about being with PopPop and GiGi together.

We had a fun day... outlet shopping, lunch at Sea Captain's House on the beach, more outlet shopping, a little bit of laziness, grilled hamburgers, and then more laziness.

Karoline said tonight that they were not allowed to go back home :) How sweet. We really enjoyed their visit and hope they come back soon!

The Bug

Well, I am glad this week is O-V-E-R! We all got a "bug".

It all started Sunday (see Anderson's face in the first picture). Anderson was in a HORRIBLE mood all day. That night he threw up and was sick on Monday. Tuesday came and I got the bug... it was HORRIBLE! I could not move, except to go to the bathroom! Wednesday morning I felt great... TJ and Karoline, not so great. They both got the bug. They felt better just hours later. TJ left Wed. night for a conference on Thursday. Thursday morning, GiGi got the bug! I felt so bad that she got it.

The bad part was this "bug" came on VERY strong, but thankfully only lasted 24 hrs or less. I spent most of the day Thursday and Friday using Clorox wipes and Lysol and airing out the house with the windows open. So it was a week of us all taking care of each other... lots of laundry, making jello & chicken noodle soup!

So I didn't really take pictures this week but I have these from last weekend to post... Enjoy!

A Perfect Princess Birthday

Karoline had a GREAT birthday! It started off with opening one of her many gifts in the morning which was a soccer goal. Then after our doctors visit we got to video chat with Emily, Avery, Kelly, and Sydney Kate from California and open her package from Avery.

After nap time we went to Kids Inc. to play! It's a wonderful place full of bouncy house things and slides. Our sweet friends Emma Claire, Evan, and Ms Becca came to play with us. The kids had so much fun! After we headed to 5 Guys, Barna's suggestion, for burgers and OH MY GOODNESS they were SO GOOD! My new favorite burger! Then we came home and ate the Martha Stewart (February cover) cupcakes Barna made that were very delicious. She is well known for making some amazing desserts! I guess you could say her theme was Princess... everything had Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty on it and I got the largest balloon imaginable that even sings! I had no idea when it was in the package that it was going to be so big!

Karoline got lots of sweet gifts and cards! I think her favorites are her Princess light up shirt from Emma Claire and Evan and her Cinderella dress, shoes, and crown from GiGi.

We are so thankful for our little girl and it's just so hard to believe that she's 3!Here are a lot of pictures from today... sorry so many but I can't help myself!

Karoline is THREE!

It's so crazy to us that our baby girl is THREE YEARS OLD today! Karoline is the most amazing little girl and big sister to Anderson. So I thought I would interview her and list her top three favorite things in the categories below:

Food:
1) lunch
2) PB& J
3) Banana

Favorite TV shows:
1) Backyardigans
2) Dora
3) Diego

Favorite Books:
1) Cinderella
2) Puppy Love
3) Cranes and Trains

Favorite things to sleep with:
1) Puppy
2) Pink blanket
3) Green blanket

Favorite Toys:
1) Vacuum
2) Flower (from Avery that she got today)
3) Poodle

Favorite sayings (written by mommy):
1) "I can do it all by myself!" (she's becoming so independent!)
2) "I don't want to ___________"
3) "I love you mommy/ Daddy" (which makes the first two not so bad!)

We went to the doctor today and she was 39 lbs (90%) and was 38 1/2 in tall (right below 90%).

Yesterday we took cupcakes to Karoline at preschool. I finally got to meet all her friends that she talks about all the time! When we arrived they were eating green eggs and ham. They sang "Happy Birthday" to Karoline and ate cupcakes for dessert.

I'll post pictures of our celebrations later tonight.

GiGi's Visiting During Busy Times

Between traveling, starting my new job, Wellspring's website needing to be finished, getting things done with my parents house here, and Karoline's birthday, things have been SO BUSY!

We are SO happy GiGi is here. She has been a HUGE help and we are really enjoying her visit. She drove from Louisiana and brought Anderson's big boy bed (TJ's bed growing up)! I am SO excited! No, we are not putting our baby in a big bed yet, but it was a good time for her to bring it.

Today GiGi made cupcakes for Karoline's birthday tomorrow and I can't wait to eat them!! She made what was on the cover of Martha Steward in February. YUMMY!

Anyway, she is staying for another week or so because I am starting work next week and TJ has a conference he has to go to. TJ's dad will be flying in for a QUICK visit and driving back to LA with Barna. Karoline and Anderson are really enjoying having GiGi here!

Don't turn me into the police... they were only in there because they WANTED to be and I am not a bad parent! :)

Lately we have had a lot done in the yard... we got a fence put in and a sprinkler system. It's TJ's pay from my parents for doing a lot of graphics work for my dad's consulting company. They totally dug up my beautiful flower beds and yard but they did put it all back when they were finished. The kids and Buster are really enjoying the fence. I feel so much better knowing my kids can play and won't sneak away to the road (which has happened!). Despite the HUGE mess we are very thankful for our new yard accessories :) Now we just need to try and get the grass to grow!

Dixie Stampede

Friday after my flight back home we went to The Dixie Stampede with our friend Shannon (who got us a great deal on tickets), Danielle, David, and GiGi. TJ's mom was in town while I was away helping my parents and it staying for a while to help out while I start working. Anyway, it was a great show and Karoline LOVED it. At first she was not so sure (look at her in the first picture) but 10 minutes into it she loved it. It was a fun night.
