Oh Happy Day!

As Karoline loves to say... OH HAPPY DAY!!! I just have to post my excitement.... Anderson slept last night from 8:45 PM to 6:11 AM, ate and then went back down until 9 AM!!!!!!!!!! It was WONDERFUL! I just hope he does it again tonight. He has been sleeping from about 8:30 PM to 4 AM and then waking up around 8AM, but I like the waking up at 9 AM a little better! Oh I feel so refreshed toady! Which is good since TJ and I (mostly TJ though) are in charge of the New Years dinner party for church tonight so we have a TON of stuff to do. I'll post pics of the party some time this week. Have a great New Years Eve.

Bath Pics
I am redoing our hall bathroom to look more "kid friendly" and fun. Nothing major but TJ's mom gave me this fun stripped shower curtain and I am putting new frames in there with the kids pictures. I thought I would share the pictures I am using. They are so cute.

Trying to be like daddy...
I had to include this picture because Karoline went and got TJ's hat and started playing Anderson's guitar so she could be like daddy... GiGi, isn't this the cutest!?

Some More Cheerios Please and Poison Control

The pictures and video are from Christmas that I didn't post on the actual Christmas Day post. But I thought I would add these two things:
Karoline has really started to speak in sentences in the past few weeks. Today she came up to me and said "Some more Cheerios Please". I was so shocked and so proud of her that I started praising her and I think I scared her. She loves to say "love you Mommy" or "love you daddy"... oh and "Shhhhhhhhh, Oshies (Anderson) sleeping"! It is so funny. She is just so funny. I am really enjoying her sweet words. Okay... on to poison control...
Today was the first time I had to call poison control. Karoline was in her room playing and the rest of us were in the living room. Nothing unusual but I forgot to put the humidifier away and she apparently got some of the Vicks Vapor liquid stuff and put it in her mouth. She came into the living room coughing and spitting and her mouth smelled of Vicks. I panicked of course and the bottle said to call poison control so we did. They said she would be fine but it reminded me that I needed to make a list of important numbers for the fridge.

I didn't post these the other day but every time I see them they make me laugh so I put them on the blog...

Giving Dora a bath...

Please excuse my baby talk...haha! I just can't help it. Karoline is first and then there is a video of Anderson...

Our Dear Saviors Birth

I love Christmas and it is even more fun now that I have children. I love teaching Karoline about the Christmas story since this year she can understand it a little bit better. We read books about Christmas and she says "baby Jesus" and it just tugs at my heart. I want her to know baby Jesus as her personal Savior one day... Anderson too of course! I want them to know all that this baby grew up and did for them; that this baby grew up and became a sinless man and died on the cross for their sins. Our church really put a focus on that this year... yes, Christmas is typically the story of Jesus being born but it really is about his whole life. I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends celebrating our dear Saviors birth! I know we did! Sorry there are so many pictures but I just take so many and then I can't narrow them down.

When Karoline came in the living room she was shocked and scared a little I think but then realized she had a lot of new toys to play with.

Sweet Aunt Loretta got Karoline a Dora doll... oh my gosh she was so THRILLED! She carried her around all day giving her a "bath" in the play kitchen sink, and she rode with her in her bike and she is currently snuggled with her in bed.
Mom and dad open their gift from us which was a photo book.

One of Karoline's favorite gifts was the dora book with her in it. She made Gammy read it right away!

Karoline loved riding her bike...

Christmas dinner... Karoline ate more than me I think. She kept asking for more turkey and sweet potatoes (I just gave her regular sweet potatoes and not the ones loaded with sugar- although I loved them).

She really loves her play kitchen, can you tell?

It was a great day, but now with all this new stuff I am in a major organization mood so guess what I'll be working on for the next couple of weeks...

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve but busy... TJ had to put together Karoline's play kitchen and bike, I cleaned the house then mom and I did some pre-Christmas dinner cooking, dad wrestled and played with Karoline, and Anderson just slept pretty much. After our busy day we had a wonderful Christmas Eve service. TJ did an amazing job and sang so well. I have such a talented husband.

We had to keep Karoline out of the living room while TJ was putting together her kitchen so we gave her a bath and put Dora on in our room... she would not let me put her clothes on... silly girl.

well, after being up late the night before and being up late again, Karoline had had it pretty much and was not interested in taking another picture... but it's good for a laugh!

Christmas In The City

Our friends, Spike and Heather, took us into the city to see Union Square all decorated for Christmas. It was really beautiful and a fun San Francisco thing to do. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

This was in one of the really nice hotels in the city. It is completely made of sugar (candy) and they add a little to it each year. My question is who moves it each year? They have got to be nervous! And how do they store it? It was really beautiful!

The stores were so beautiful. Macy's had some beautiful windows to look at... not quite like NYC but they were beautiful.

Mom and I in font of the very first Gap store...

We are so glad that Gammy and Gandaddy are here!!!

TJ really felt like cuddling with Whisper...

For Gammy and Gandaddy:

Gammy and Gandaddy have requested pictures so here they are... They (my parents) arrive on Saturday so we are all thrilled! Karoline keeps saying "Gammy, Texas" and I keep trying to explain that she is there now, but will be here on Saturday. Enjoy the pictures!

Karoline and I went outside to play soccer and Anderson was awake so he came too. I bundled him all up and Karoline wanted to give him a kiss before we started playing.

Playing after daddy got home from work...

Karoline loves spinning the lazy Anderson :)

Karoline loves working puzzles with me and she really loves her numbers puzzle. I'll ask her if she wants to do a puzzle and she will shout "numbers, numbers". It is cute.

Karoline's feather Christmas tree. I have a tree for Anderson too but I can't find it. When I got it I put it in a safe place... very safe apparently!

I let Karoline pick out her new drawing pad and she chose Diego and I was shocked! No Dora??

Anderson enjoying his swing...

Out Shopping
Today we went Christmas shopping and we tested out our stroller using it as a double for the first time. Anderson hates sleeping in his car seat except when in the car so we decided to put him in the infant part of our stroller (the infant lays down in the back and the toddler goes in an attached seat on the front). This way we were able to put Anderson on his tummy which is the only way he likes to sleep. He slept for three hours!! I didn't have my camera so these are from my cell.

TJ made Karoline glasses out of these wax like sticks that they gave us at PF Changs. He was so funny and kept them on for a while.
