Time Away!

(Why the hand... It's made of items made by slaves- Passion is PASSIONATE about bringing awareness to human trafficking and slavery!  Check this out http://72daysforfreedom.com/ )

TJ and I had 2 opportunities in March to get away... even though I have been in school both of these trips where a priority and I got to study some on the drive.  First we went to Atlanta to Passion City Church for  a conference called LIFT.  I just love Louis Giglio and God has used him in many ways in my life.  I first saw him at Super Wow when I was in middle school, went to 722 while in college, got to see him at Catalyst a few years ago (but honestly that message was over my head... "its in his face")  and I want to say that Lift might have been my favorite.

Maybe it was because it was a small group, more intimate (2,000 is a small group) and just for worship leaders (but they let the wives in too!).  I learned SO MUCH!  I learned ways to support TJ in his ministry and really what common struggles are for worship pastors and we had AMAZING, AMAZING worship!

Chris Tomlin lead, Christy Nockles, and David Crowder.  It was very powerful and if you have not already bought the new White Flags album you MUST do so now!  It is wonderful!! I cannot wait to go with TJ again next year!  It was such a special weekend in Atlanta for us!

We laughed when we got our itinerary... 10:30PM to start a session!!!  We wanted to go to bed!

So one of my sorority sisters married Chris Tomlin.  Lauren is amazing and she and Chris have a beautiful daughter and he introduced her during a smaller group breakout session.  It was precious.  We also got to catch up a little after... she's going to have so much fun as a mom!

THEN... at the end of March our whole staff and wives went to Newspring Church in Anderson, SC to see Mark Driscoll at a conference called Real Marriage.  It was a great weekend... lots of laughs and great reminders on how to keep each other as the 1st priority, after God... He talked about how important friendship is and I am beyond thankful that I married my best friend!  He's so amazing and I just love him SO much...  Thank you Trey and Danielle for treating us to a great weekend!

A Room Fit For A Princess

Princess Karoline has been asking for a "princess" room for a LONG time.  Mom and Dad gave Karoline's room a facelift for her birthday and we added enough princess to make her happy but when she grows out of it we just have to change a couple of things... because she's not getting another room facelift until her dorm room at Auburn!  She wanted some brighter colors since everything was "baby pink" as she called it, but I was NOT repainting the walls.  She was not quite ready to get rid of her play kitchen but we have picked out a bookshelf to get when she is ready... her book collection is getting out of control, which I love!

I'm so glad our little Princess loves her room!

She has outgrown her "anywhere chair" (she's getting so big... sad face!) so we got a bean bag chair for her little reading nook.  She loves it.

A great Ross find... chairs for Molly and Emily.

Her Target chandelier she has had since birth, but she loves her new HOT PINK polka dot curtains... BLACKOUT curtains! They are wonderful!
I found this at Ross for like $5 and spray painted it.
Jewelry collection is growing :)
Vanity/ Desk, now that we have homework!
Yes, Mom got Karoline this phone she picked out at the PBK store in Atl...
Yes, it's a real working phone... NO it is NOT plugged in :)

The sconces came from Barna and Kerry's house in Mississippi.  They had them on their porch in Rayville but I told her at one point I loved them and the giver that she was brought them to me the next time she came to Myrtle Beach!!  I miss her!  A can of spray paint later and I just LOVE them!!

Every Princess needs a frog :)

She didn't know we were doing her room so when she came home one day she was completely surprised...

St. Patricks Day!

We went to the North Myrtle Beach Parade like we do every year with our friends, Bryant, Amy  and Abby.  We had more friends join us this year and we had a GREAT time!  The kids really got into it and we went and had lunch after... made for an interesting lunch with all the kids but fun!

Excited to see SLASH... ready for baseball season!

How Could I Forget...

When I did Karoline's birthday post I forgot the video of the girls dancing... I'm scared... what am I going to do when she's a teenager... I don't know where she learns this stuff!

Myrtle Beach Models

A friend sent me the link to this website and there we were.... Our friend Adele had asked us to model for some work she did for the chamber and I guess this is where it ended up :)

Then a few days later, this came in everyone's mail.  Funny thing was it was on my desk for 2 days on top of the mail pile in the kitchen and I didn't even notice it.  I had no idea we would be on a city wide mailer :) Haha...

Rock-N-Roll Birthday!

Pop ROCK, Ring POP, & Nail Polish.... Perfect for a Rock-N-Roll 6 year old Birthday Party!

Karoline had a little party at Sparkles... we had 6 friends join us and the girls got their nails painted, make up done, and fancy hairstyles... THEN got to DANCE THEIR HEARTS OUT on the stage!

 This was serious business...

To say the girls had a good time would be an understatement... they had a BLAST!
They sang their precious hearts out and did not want to leave!
Mom and I took the girls back to our house for pizza and cake...

It was a PERFECT birthday party for our rock star, Karoline!
