Low Key... At Least For Me

This week has been pretty low key for me. Why? Because I have been studying NON-STOP it seems like. More on that later... but the kids week was NOT low key! They went to ROCK-N-ROLL CAMP at school. Yes they went to camp so I could study in peace and quiet!

They had so much fun and the day before last was 80's day and the last day was dress like a rock star. Karoline enjoyed the dressing up but Anderson was a little more difficult (see picture below!). On the last day they asked TJ to come in for their "closing ceremonies" and play a few songs so he took the video of Karoline's class with the guitars they made. They both had a great week.

Another BIG thing that happened this week was Anderson FINALLY ... well... #2 where it's supposed to go! I am not going to have to marry him off and give his new wife diapers with instructions to put them on and let him take an afternoon nap. I'm so proud of him. So his treat was to get a TV in his room (yes, I am a horrible mother!). We had this in the garage not in use and it has a DVD player built in so he is just using it to watch a movie/dvd during this "room rest time".

It also RAINED this week!!!!!!!!!!! We got rain 3 days in a row!! It has not rained here pretty much all summer! I was so excited I took a picture of it :) Kind of glad it waited to rain until the week I needed to be inside studying and the kids were getting their energy out at camp.

So why is my head in a book... I'm studying to get my Personal Training Certificate. I have been wanting to do this for several months but it can be costly and you can have to travel for the training so when I found out someone was coming to our YMCA and it fit my budget I signed up! Bad thing is it's back to back with my AFAA Group Fitness Training Certification which will be the following week! I have not even touched that 600 page book yet and the test is August 7th! So next week I'll be studying for that. Again, would not have done this in the summer BUT I am fortunate that the Y were I work is using me as their comp person and it's FREE for me (Normally $300!) so I jumped on the offer. So if you want to pray for me on Sunday, July 31st and again on Sunday, August 7th that would be awesome!!

Here's to a FUN new few weeks.... before school starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Karoline has been counting down the days until August because it's the month she starts Kindergarten! Yeah, pray for me again on that one...I'll leave you with this precious video of my boy singing his favorite song from church...

This is what he is singing...
Verse 1:
It's not a secret, it's not a fairytale
It's not made up, Jonas was in a whale
For three whole days, 1,2,3!
The greatest treasure, the Word God's people wrote
It's in the Bible, where Noah built a boat
And it rained and rained

Chorus:
The rainbows in the sky to show God's promises are true
THe rainbows in the sky to show the world
He's the only way for your everyday

Brookgreen Gardens

Mom got free tickets from a neighbor to Brookgreen Gardens which we have never visited before but have always heard great things. We normally would not pick such a HOT day to go exploring outside but the tickets there only good for this particular day. We did escape into the AC for lunch and they had a kids zone were Anderson got to play with building logs and Karoline got to color. Needless to say we didn't get to see all we wanted because of the heat but even going for a few hours was fun.

The flowers and HUGE trees with moss are just stunning and we got to meet and see lots of animals that are native to this area. The snake was not a big hit :)

Moss on this beautiful crape myrtle

Mr. Gator
Mr. Fox

Karoline's favorite was the owl.

... And we will be back another day... a cooler day...

More Waterway Fun

This time Anderson joined in on the fun! A few weekends ago my friend Amy's best friend was in town (from Tuscaloosa! I was surrounded by Alabama fans!!) so we rented a pontoon boat. TJ went with Amy and the kids and drove the boat and Bryant and I went an put the jet ski's in the water a little further down the waterway. We kind of met in the middle of the waterway. Anderson was so excited when he realized it was me on the jet ski next to the boat. I think he really enjoyed the boat ride and riding on the jet ski. The kids won't let me go more than 30 miles and hour :) We took Anderson tubing. He was scared so we went slow but he enjoyed it. Abby, Karoline and all the other kids had fun playing as well. It was a beautiful enjoyable day! I LOVE being on the waterway!

Huey's Visit

Jeff, Amber, Harrison (5), Palmer (4), and Titus (almost 2), and baby Hope (currently still in Amber's belly) came to Myrtle Beach. They stayed with Eric and April and we joined them for some of the fun. Karoline and Harrison had met before but I think Karoline was like 9 months old. So it was very fun having all the kids together.

For those of you who don't know, Jeff and TJ have been friends since 6th grade... Jeff is the man responsible for TJ and I meeting... Jeff met his wife Amber the week TJ and I got engaged... we all made the trek out to Fort Worth for Seminary together... 3 couples... now soon to be 9 babies...

Thankful for time with wonderful, godly friends ...

We spent time on the beach...

The adults got to have a night out... we went to the 2nd Ave. Pier House for dinner... and NO, I don't feel left out even though I'm the only girl without a baby in my belly :)

And enjoyed some time just hanging out...
Their last night in town we had everyone over for pizza and the kids enjoyed playing baseball (except Titus who took a long nap on our sofa) and the girls enjoyed playing Barbies in the play room until some of the boys crashed their party :)

More Baptism and Fishing...

I never posted the pictures I took of Karoline's baptism so wanted to do so before I forgot. We were so thankful for all of our friends that came to watch and all those who were baptized as well. Watching TJ baptize Karoline was just amazing and there are no words to describe what that was like for me to watch! We saw two jewelers who do Premier Designs with me get baptized, a husband of a family I have been praying/ thinking of for years, and more... It was a beautiful night!

Abby came to watch...
Little Eric and Little TJ :)

That's a big wave coming...
YEAH!!!

One cute thing is that in the pool Karoline and Anderson will play "Baptism" and with trade places being Mr. Trey and its so funny. They even make me clap. Haha...

I took these pictures that night as well... Dad got Anderson a fishing pole but he was a little scared and didn't use it much, but he did help Gandaddy try and find bate and watch Gandaddy fish a little...
