Jackson

I cannot even express how proud I am of my nephew, Jackson. When we lived in California, we were never able to see Jackson play baseball. It has been so fun having Jackson just playing baseball just minutes from my house... actually, I could get used to it really fast. I wonder if I could convince them to move to Myrtle Beach too :) haha...

I got to go to his game yesterday afternoon and a game this morning. Can I just tell you he is AMAZING!! I cannot tell you how shocked I was by his whole team. They are REALLY GOOD. It was so much fun watching them play. They won their game yesterday but lost their morning game today (I think they won their afternoon game today but I didn't get to see it). I think the team that beat them this morning has already started their steroid program because they were not the size of normal 11 year olds!

Anyway, I also want to say that it is so fun to watch my brother coach. I love my brother so much and if I could describe him in one word that would be LEADER. He is an amazing leader in all areas of life and it is so fun watching him lead and encourage these kids. I hope I get to see many more games in the future!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...

Well, it seems summers in Myrtle Beach never slow down (which I enjoy!). Today (12:30AM) my brother, Brent, and nephew, Jackson drove into town. They got to come to Wellspring this morning which was fun and this afternoon was the opening ceremonies for a week long baseball tournament they are in at The Ripken Experience in MB. Our good friend, Bobby (my friend Amanda's husband- they go to Wellspring & live in our neighborhood), is the GM of The Ripken Experience.

It's kind of a funny story because we were going to get some dinner last week and he called to see if TJ could sing the National Anthem for their opening ceremonies. So it was really fun because we got to see TJ sing and got to watch Jackson. We will get to see him play some this week too. Brent is the head coach.

The bad part....
Stroller left at home + sippy cups left at home + 2 hungry over tired kids + out at bedtime + dirt & sand + HOT sun + Humidity + huge crowd = ME very stressed out!

The good part... pictures!

TJ with our friend Bobby

Brent will probably shoot me for posting this picture but this is the first time I have ever seen him do the "Chicken Dance" and it was pretty funny!

Spring Hill Singers

I did THREE blog posts tonight so keep reading after this post...

When TJ was in high school and went to church at Spring Hill, their choir tour was a HUGE thing! It still is at Spring Hill. This year we were lucky because they came to Myrtle Beach! TJ's cousin Karen and her husband Mark, both of which we LOVE SOOO much, came with the group like they do every year. Their week was backed full of ministry, day camps, and shows but we got to go see their last show at Broadway At The Beach. They did an amazing job! It was so fun to watch and Karoline and Anderson loved it (see video of Karoline below- I think she is going to beg her daddy for a Wellspring Singers group!)

After the show TJ and I went back to their hotel and TJ lead worship and we got to hang out with them a little more. It's pretty amazing to be in a room with an amazing choir while they sing worship songs... PERFECT harmony! Being with Spring Hill's youth made me really excited about our church having a youth group one day!

Anderson LOVES Mark
The movie theater in the back is the future home of Wellspring Church.
TJ used to do this :) hehe...
With Karen towards the end of the show... WAY past Karoline's bedtime!

Leigh & Pressley Visit

Leigh, my SIL, and my niece Pressley came on Tuesday and left on Friday night... we will get to see them some more though in the next few weeks because they will be just 40 minutes away at the beach with Leigh's family for about 3 weeks. Jackson & Brent are coming tomorrow and will be in Myrtle Beach for a baseball tournament for Jackson. So, Leigh and Pres will be back watching a few games and we plan to go see them and Leighs family at least once. Anyway, we had a great time having them around. Karoline & Anderson loved them being around so much to play.

Karoline & Pressley pretty much played with Gandaddy all week. He took them all over and finished with a bang on Friday. They played putt- putt & Gandaddy treated them to ice cream after and got them a few trinkets... it was SO cute to see my dad just enjoy so much time with his granddaughters.

Tuesday night when they arrived Susan & Steve Philips came to eat dinner with us too. They have stayed a week in North Myrtle Beach for 30 years and it was so fun seeing them. They are some of our great friends from Atlanta.

Pretty princesses... they were so excited to be together and playing dress up.

Don't Leave Me Out Please

I don't want these pictures to feel left out... they were taken closer to the beginning of June and I didn't want to forget to add them so they will be in my blog book...

Karoline & Anderson play upstairs by themselves a lot for a good length of time. They usually don't do anything to get them into trouble but one day after about 30 minutes or so Karoline came down stairs and said that Anderson's mouth was blue. I went upstairs and yes, someone, I don't know who, colored his face. This has not been attempted since... I think they figured it out that mommy was not happy about the face artwork :)

Anderson LOVES to "read"...

and swing...

Karoline LOVES her "soft blanket"

Anderson found a new way to watch TV...

Faith & Sara's Visit

Faith and Sara were two of my best friends at Auburn. Faith and I lived together for three years and I met Sara through Faith. I have not seen Sara is probably 6 years and I have not seen Faith since Karoline was like 8 months old. It was SO wonderful spending time with them and having a little girls weekend... through TJ came along most of the time + kids were in the mix too :) Karoline called them "my friends"... "Mommy, where are my friends?" "Are my friends coming?" "What are my friends names again?"... so cute!

Friday they arrived and we stayed up for a LONG time just talking, looking at Sara's wedding pictures, Faith's brothers wedding pics and her sweet new nephew, and catching up. It was so fun... I really missed them! Saturday we played at the beach and the pool a little then went to our favorite beach restaurant, Bummz! We drove around Myrtle Beach a little then came home and watched my all time favorite movie, Shag (I finally got it on DVD!). Sunday before they left to head back to Atlanta they joined us for our Father's Day breakfast. It was sad to say goodbye but we plan on making it a yearly trip for sure. They are just amazing friends who love the Lord so much and are such a blessing! Here are some pictures from the weekend...
