Substitutes For Santa

Wellspring hosted a WONDERFUL event called Substitutes for Santa. We were able to give 85 children ranging from age 2- 16 a Christmas and share the love of Christ! Parents dropped them off at California Pizza where they were feed dinner, got to see Santa, and play games. Then we took them to Walmart where they were given a $100 gift card to pick out toys and necessities. It was such a great time and we were thankful for the opportunity to meet and provide for so many great children in the Grand Strand! TJ sadly missed the event because he was very sick, but maybe next year!

What To Do...

... On a COLD, RAINY day when it's almost Christmas?...

You build a Gingerbread House!!

This is one of my favorite things to do with my girl... not quite brave enough to invite Anderson in on the fun! :) Karoline and I had a blast decorating and she was quite happy with the results.

WAR EAGLE!

I feel like this football season has been a dream... CRAZY that we are 13-0 and all of those close games have pretty much giving me heart problems for probably the rest of my life! Haha! It's really been a fun ride and I HOPE we win the National Championship!

So needless to say we live in Gamecock country- Miss Danielle was a Gamecock cheerleader and Pastor Trey a Gamecock Alum as well, the kids teachers and most of their friends... Well, We are the ONLY people at our school in orange and blue but thankfully at church we have The Colquett's so we are not totally alone!

Every Friday the kids know we dress in our "Auburn Day" clothes for school and on Saturday night Karoline would always ask to wear an Auburn dress to church... I have some cute little tigers I might add!

Anderson... Where is Aubie?...

THERE HE IS!
Karoline wore her cheerleading uniform to school Friday before the SEC game...

A few hours after seeing Santa the Colquett's came over to watch the game. The kids had a blast together! Anderson was not really into having his picture taken but Alli, Karoline, and Sam are too cute!
Touchdown Auburn!
I was trying to get a picture of Anderson and he was not happy about my camera
so he went and got in the dog kennel! It was SO funny!
Well, January 10th is a long way away but that's just more days to pray we WIN, right!? Haha... I believe in Auburn and Love it!

If you have 4 minutes and 29 seconds to smile watch this video...

HoHoHo...

We went to The North Pole to see Santa this weekend (well maybe not but it FEELS like the North Pole in Myrtle Beach... 19 degrees tomorrow!) Gammy and Gandaddy joined us along with April, Alli and Sam (Mr. Eric had to work). I LOVE Bass Pro Shop because we wait all of about 15 minutes to see Santa.

The kids did great! No one cried and they actually told Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Anderson said he wanted a big train and Karoline said she wanted a Barbie and an Auburn National Championship... About the Championship, Santa said he didn't really want to give that to her but he just might have to! I think Santa was a Gamecocks fan.

After we ate lunch and then headed home for THE BIG GAME! Thankful our trip to The North Pole was a success!

Letter To Santa

Karoline is at such a fun age... she wants to write and draw ALL the time! On Thanksgiving Day she spent a lot of time writing her letter to Santa. She had such a fun time making her list and I think Santa will be able to deliver :)

(picture is Santa putting gifts around the tree)

Dear Santa,
I would like
1) Barbie Doll,
2) Bitty Baby,
3)Piano,
4) Leap Frog (game),
5) Repunzel Doll
Love, Karoline

Thanksgiving...

(not a real cupcake... just cute)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving... pretty low key. TJ's dad spent Thanksgiving with Sarah, Jared and the girls so we just drove to the other side of the neighborhood and spent Thanksgiving with my parents. But, before we woke up and watched the Macy's parade on TV. Karoline loved and watched the whole thing... TJ and Anderson took an hour "jam session" break (see video below)... You will also see Karoline & Anderson's favorite characters they saw in the parade.

Seeing the princess castle made her think that she needed to be a Thanksgiving princess... some things are not worth fighting about so her cute smocked Thanksgiving dress stayed in the closet at home... Maybe next year :)
TJ was in charge of making his mom's WONDERFUL sweet potato souffle... YUMMY!
Buster REALLY was hoping TJ would drop something...

Prissy and Buster wondering when we would let them back in...
Karoline was in charge of decorating and setting the table...
She requested to use these... YES, my WEDDING napkins! Needless to say we ordered
a few extra 8 years ago and Karoline has LOVED using them over at my parents,
but I must report after this meal they were all gone.
Karoline with my parents right before dad got sick and had to go to bed :(

Funny Buddy
Finally... dinner time!
I will say it has been a VERY hard year, too much hurt that I don't even want to remember yet God has been so faithful and true to our family and I am so Thankful! I am VERY blessed to have an unbelievable husband who works so hard and is so loving and forgiving and crazy beautiful children so are AMAZING! Thank you God! I'm so thankful for my mom especially because she gives up so much of her time to play with my kids so I can work and be very hands on in our ministry at Wellspring! Speaking of Wellspring, I am thankful for all that God has done this year... the lives changed and the families that are committing to our purpose... To see those far from God become PASSIONATE followers of Jesus Christ! I'm thankful for Premier for allowing me to provide some for our family financially but with little time taken away from them & that they are such a godly company! I am thankful for wonderful friends, here in Myrtle Beach and all over our country! Truly blessed!! Happy Thanksgiving!
