A Two Week Old and A Teething Toddler

I am tired...

Anderson is doing great and so is Karoline... BUT she is teething and is in a lot of pain and has not been herself lately. I feel so bad for her. She says "Hurt, teeth". She got her flu shot today too but did great. She didn't even cry or come close to it.

Today was Anderson's two week check up. The doc said he looked great. He was 7 lbs. 6 oz when we left the hospital and today he was 8 lbs. 13 oz (49%) ... He is growing!!!! He is also 21 inches long (59%), and his head circumference is 14.25 inches (29%). Can you believe that Anderson has such a small head!!! Karoline's head has never been on the charts so this was a shock! Anyway, he did not have to get any shots thank goodness. He is beginning to do really well at night and he is getting better at napping in his bed. This is important for him since I need to be able to spend time alone with Karoline during the day when TJ is at work and I need them to also take a nap at the same time in the afternoons so I get some "me" time too. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the video. The small shot of Karoline in the video pretty much describes her mood. Oh, I can't wait until teething is OVER!

Karoline playing with Anderson before church...

Anderson had some bad gas issues the other day so this was the most comfortable way for him to sleep on Gammy.

He fell asleep in his swing with his pacifier resting on his face... it was so cute.

Trunk or Treat and More

I thought this was such a cute picture of Karoline and her daddy...

Karoline was SO scared at the Trunk or Treat! She didn't like the decor...

Karoline looking through her candy...

Anderson all dressed up in his Auburn gear...

Karoline and Avery... Avery was so cute and she won best dressed baby girl at the Trunk or Treat.

Mommy and the future Auburn cheerleader...

Karoline LOVES her baby brother...

Karoline has done this twice but today I actually got a picture of it. She wanted milk so she got it out of the fridge and took it to her room. Thank goodness she can't get the top off yet.

This is a cute video, especially the first part... hope you enjoy!

Many of you have asked how we are doing and how I am healing from the csection. We are doing great so far. Anderson has spent three night sleeping in his crib and not in our bed!! yeah! We are working on naps... he took two good naps in his crib today but his other naps we just held him.
I have healed wonderfully so far from my csection. No complications. I don't know if it was because I had a different doctor or because this was my second cs, but I recovered much quicker than I did with my first.
Karoline is adjusting well... better than I though, but still has her "I only want Mommy" moments. We love having two wonderful children... Thank you Jesus for such a blessing.

Earthquake and Success

Okay, so last night mom and I were putting Anderson down in his crib... I was leaning over the crib putting in the pacifier when the crib started shaking. I looked at mom and said "Are you shaking the crib?" thinking mom was losing her mind by shaking the crib. She said "Nope"... then TJ shouts out from Karoline's room, "Hey did yall feel that earthquake?" We walk into Karoline's room and her chandlier was moving back and forth. So there was a 5.6 earthquake about 55/60 miles from our house. It was the strongest earthquake in the area since the big quake in '89. Anyway, my mom and Anderson experienced their first quake.

After the quake we had great success with Anderson sleeping in his crib. He slept there ALL night until 8:30AM (except for feedings of course). TJ brought him to me in bed at 8:30 AM and we slept until almost 10! It was GREAT! I hope tonight goes just was well!

Anderson Is A Week Old!

We have had an amazing first week. It has been wonderful and we are so blessed. There are so many pictures because I just have the cutest children and can't pick out just a couple. There is a video at the end of Anderson with his eyes open! Enjoy!

Anderson sleeps GREAT at night as long as he is in our bed. Last night though he slept for 4 hours in his bed so we are on our way to success.

Karoline and Anderson Videos

The first part of this video is Karoline and Anderson meeting in the hospital. The second is of them their first morning at home together... with Dora on in the background of course! Enjoy... it is CUTE! New pics from today are in the post below.

Our First Full Day Home

Who says you can't nurse and blog at the same time!? We went back to the hospital today and Anderson gained a few ounces so he is now 7 lbs. 10 oz. He is such a good baby. Last night he did great in his crib but we were up every hour until about 4:30 then he slept for about 2 1/2 straight. Of course I was up more than that but I feel kind of rested. We are all adjusting well but we could not do it without my parents here that is for sure! Anyway, here are some pictures from today. I probably won't blog for a few days because I am sure the fatique will set in.

This morning Karoline sat with TJ and Anderson for a while watching Dora. It was SO cute. She is really good with him. She loves him so much.

What a good nap... now its time to eat!

Gammy and Gandaddy come to see Anderson after his nap in his bed..

Sitting patiently while everyone eats dinner...

First Bath- Funny story... we put Anderson in his bath. Right behind him was TJ sitting on the potty giving Karoline a bath. Well, Anderson went TT and it shot up over Anderson and got TJ in the back!!! It was So funny!!! TJ thought it was water but we quickly let him know it was his son. This was the first BIG spray from Anderson. Oh, and he didn't like this bath that much. He was cold.

Look at my eyes... Anderson's first time on the play gym.

Home Sweet Home

Me with mom and dad the day before...

My last meal at 11PM at night... we stayed at a hotel on Sunday night and it was so nice. We got room service and a huge chocolate cake before we went to sleep. I could not eat after midnight.

Birth...
THe csection went great. When I was getting my spinal they hit a nerve in my right leg and I kicked the nurse. We all laughed. I am recovering very well so far! I praise the Lord for a save delivery. God has blessed us so much!

First picture of Anderson with mom and dad...

Diaper changes are very challenging... very different when you have a boy.

WE ARE HOME!
We got to come home a day early! I was SO glad. Before we left we found out that Anderson was tonge tied so we had to go to a head and neck doctor to get it cut. It was very quick and now nursing is SOOOOOO much better. He is a pro! He is a WONDERFUL baby.
