The 4th Of July

We had a great 4th of July which was also Barna and Kerry's anniversary. The day started off with a bear sighting... in the front of the house... Karoline was TERRIFIED! But the bear ran away quickly...

After the bear sighting, we pretty just just hung out all day and relaxed and got ready for our big dinner out. Kerry and Barna took us all to this nice restaurant in town and their long time friends Ben and Sandy came too. The food was SO GOOD!

One of the funny things is that they have these Victorian hats all over and they let you wear them... it was quite funny (see pictures below). Karoline was too scared of them to put one on her head. It was a very nice dinner and it was such a fun treat.

After we went home and ate a 4th of July cake that I made and watched the NASCAR race outside with a fire... it was so peaceful... then the fireworks started. We got to see about 10 different groups of fireworks going off from the porch.

I love the 4th of July and it was so special getting to celebrate spending it with family!

And what did Buster do while we were away... he played with my brother's dog, Blackmond, at my parents house. They had both grand-dogs... Buster was apparenlty winner of many fressbee tug of war games... I'm proud!

I hope all of you had a great 4th of July!!!

Blue Ridge- Goff Family Vacation

We had an AMAZING time the past 5 days on a wonderful trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We stayed at Jared's bosses mountain home. He has such a generous boss! This house was AMAZING and was just completed last year. It was nice to go to the mountains for vacation since we now live at the beach!

We had an amazing time... the kids are at such a fun age and played SO well together, especially the girls. It is always fun being with TJ's family and we soak up all the time we get to spend with them. It was also fun to see Sarah pregnant and it was so fun to get to see little Laney growing inside... We can't wait for her to be here in early September (Sarah would prefer late August!) .

I took a LOT of pictures... 350 :) Here are just a few.

We Are Away...

We will be back later, but we will be at this beautiful cabin in the mountains with TJ's family! I am SO excited. We left Wednesday morning...

PLEASE pray for safe travel as the roads leading to the cabin are quite narrow and winding... I am NOT excited about that part...

Jackson

I cannot even express how proud I am of my nephew, Jackson. When we lived in California, we were never able to see Jackson play baseball. It has been so fun having Jackson just playing baseball just minutes from my house... actually, I could get used to it really fast. I wonder if I could convince them to move to Myrtle Beach too :) haha...

I got to go to his game yesterday afternoon and a game this morning. Can I just tell you he is AMAZING!! I cannot tell you how shocked I was by his whole team. They are REALLY GOOD. It was so much fun watching them play. They won their game yesterday but lost their morning game today (I think they won their afternoon game today but I didn't get to see it). I think the team that beat them this morning has already started their steroid program because they were not the size of normal 11 year olds!

Anyway, I also want to say that it is so fun to watch my brother coach. I love my brother so much and if I could describe him in one word that would be LEADER. He is an amazing leader in all areas of life and it is so fun watching him lead and encourage these kids. I hope I get to see many more games in the future!

Take Me Out To The Ballgame...

Well, it seems summers in Myrtle Beach never slow down (which I enjoy!). Today (12:30AM) my brother, Brent, and nephew, Jackson drove into town. They got to come to Wellspring this morning which was fun and this afternoon was the opening ceremonies for a week long baseball tournament they are in at The Ripken Experience in MB. Our good friend, Bobby (my friend Amanda's husband- they go to Wellspring & live in our neighborhood), is the GM of The Ripken Experience.

It's kind of a funny story because we were going to get some dinner last week and he called to see if TJ could sing the National Anthem for their opening ceremonies. So it was really fun because we got to see TJ sing and got to watch Jackson. We will get to see him play some this week too. Brent is the head coach.

The bad part....
Stroller left at home + sippy cups left at home + 2 hungry over tired kids + out at bedtime + dirt & sand + HOT sun + Humidity + huge crowd = ME very stressed out!

The good part... pictures!

Brent will probably shoot me for posting this picture but this is the first time I have ever seen him do the "Chicken Dance" and it was pretty funny!
