4th Of July

We had a very fun 4th of July. We started off the day by meeting a friend and her twins for breakfast at Pine Lakes then my parents joined us for a few hours of swimming. Time went by so fast and knowing we were going to be up very late we rushed home to get the kids down for a nap.
That night we went to some of our friends neighborhood party where TJ was the DJ :) He didn't really DJ but they like to call him "TJ the DJ". He hooked up some speakers and played some music from his computer. It was a lot of fun... until fireworks began of course :) My kids and their sensitive ears!

These were from a friends camera at the party...

Didn't take my camera so I only got cell phone pics...

Rockin' Chick-Fil-A

You know my kids are no longer afraid of the Chick-Fil-A cow right? Well, our friend Justin is a manager at the Surfside Chick-Fil-A and they were having a Rock-n-Roll themed family night. Perfect for our two crazy kids... They had a BLAST!! Anderson could have stayed and jammed with them all night long. It was so cute! Video of a mix of things at the end...

Our friends Justin & Angela's sweet twins... Tuller and Ada

Rockin' with the cows... running the bases... tubing on the waterway...

Take Me Out To The Ballgame

We have been fortunate to get free tickets to a few Pelican's baseball games. The Pelican's are the Advanced A team for the Texas Rangers. The kids both love going and we do too. The stadium is so nice and it is lots of fun.

Last Friday night, July 1st, they had a great fireworks show after and the kids have ran the bases after the game twice. They love it. Also, a guy sitting behind us caught a foul ball and gave it to Anderson. He was very excited.

We ran into a guy at the beach wearing an Auburn shirt and he is in MB for the summer working for the Pelican's so he told us to text him whenever we want to go... plan on going to a few more :)

Sorry... all cell phone pics.

This is Deuce, he takes baseballs to the umpire twice during the games. He hangs out in the pro-shop the rest of the time and Karoline is in love with this dog. We have to go see him a few times each game. He is so sweet.

Waterway Fun!

Karoline got her first taste of life on the Waterway last week. We went out with our sweet friends, The Evans, and some of their friends boat. The Evans got new jet ski's this year and one is properly named "Mini Mouse". Karoline loved the boat, riding the jet ski and even tubing as long as we didn't go too fast.

I love being on the water. It brings back so many fun memories growing up with my cousins spending time at their lake house and so many fun trips and high school. We are always so thankful when we get to spend time out on the intercoastal waterway with great friends.

Camping... Country Club Style

Karoline and TJ were invited to go camping with Abby and her dad, Bryant... at the Dune's Club. We thought this would be a PERFECT camping opportunity for Karoline. She has been asking to go camping with my brother but I don't think she would like that quite as much...

They got there around 6pm and they swam for a few hours, had a cook that cooked dinner, watched a movie, then camped out by the beach.

Now, TJ was in charge of getting a few pics for me and this was all I got... They all had a great time and Karoline came home and slept a few more hours :)

So Anderson and I had our own little camp out. He put as many things possible in his pop up tent and sat in it and played his iphone for HOURS! It was so funny. We made s'mores in the microwave and he camped out in my room... well, for a few hours before asking to go to his bed. He missed his soft sheet... Have I mentioned my children's addiction to Pottery Barn Chamois fabric. I mean ADDICTION!

We Interrupt Summer Blog Posts to Bring You...

Karoline's Baptism!

We thought after Karoline made the big decision to ask Jesus into her heart that we would wait for her to be baptized when we really understood the meaning behind it, but she was ready. We talked a lot about it and she understood everything and really wanted to get baptized so she did last Sunday! TJ baptized her and it was BEAUTIFUL!

To see and listen to her heart for God is amazing. The girl wants to stop and pray all the time. I love it. She loves to learn about Him and pray for others and especially Jenifer in Peru who we sponsored through Compassion International a year and a half ago. She loves writing to her and getting letters and pictures from her. I cannot believe I get to be her mother! It's amazing to me.

Here is a video TJ put together...

2 for 1

Last week we got a 2 for 1 special... PopPop came into town AND Jackson and Pressley. It was a fun, BUSY week. Jackson stayed busy with golf lessons every day so Pressley hung out with me and Karoline most of the time. We had lots of good quality time with PopPop and it was a wild week... Here are a few pictures.
