How We Have Survived Part 1

Friends!
God has blessed us with amazing friends already! We went to dinner with the Franks yesterday at Moe's, had a play date this morning and then met a whole group of people at Chick-Fil-A. It was so much fun. Karoline and Anderson were worn out! And we have more friends that invited us over for dinner tonight. I am SO thankful for God blessing me with these AMAZING women who have the most wonderful children too. Here are some pictures of our time with our friends...

Okay, I know these don't have anything to do with friends, BUT Karoline slept with me for the FIRST time since she was 2 weeks old!! It was so fun. I always remember it being fun to get to sleep in my mom's room when dad was out of town so I thought it might be fun to start. It was fun... AND she didn't wet her diaper last night!! This is also a first and I am excited. I don't know how to night time potty train.

How We Have Survived Part 2

Video Chatting has been HUGE for me. We have been able to talk to TJ several times and my parents often. I put Karoline and Anderson in their seats, turn on the video chat, and they get to talk to my parents or TJ while I cook and get food on the table. It's really been a HUGE help!


My mom celebrated her birthday yesterday. My dad got her this HUGE cake that had everyone in the families name on it! We did a video chat and sang happy birthday! It was fun... I just want some of the cake!

It's A Beautiful Day...

Karoline was my little helper today while we watered the flowers (see Mom, I have not killed them yet!). She was having a lot of fun until Mr. Lizard came out to play! She was not very excited about him crashing our flower feeding party.





After lunch we went on a long wagon ride and we took Buster along with us. He got to meet the beautiful golden up the street so he enjoyed that and we wore him out! It was SUCH a beautiful day. I cannot tell yall how much I love this wagon!

After our wagon ride we played in the backyard. Karoline wanted to ride her scooter...

Anderson LOVES to look in the storage box and tries to get out every ball in there to play with... he loves his soccer ball the best.

I thank the Lord for days like this... when its so nice to be outside and let the kids just play and enjoy being kids! We miss TJ... but we are doing well and just enjoying our time together. We did get to video chat with TJ today so that was fun. Counting down until Thursday...

Oh, okay, I'll say more... we do miss TJ. He is at his parents in Rayville, LA leading worship for their revival this week. He is having a good time but it's been busy. He is working a lot for Wellspring too while he is there too so not too much relaxing is going on (or at least that's what I have been told!)

We have had a good time though and today we spent a lot of time outside. It was BEAUTIFUL and made me really excited for the summer time. We played outside then met some friends at our neighborhood park and really enjoyed the warm weather. Anyway, here are some pictures for TJ (and everyone else too). These pictures were taken when it was still cold outside...

Ben, Holly, and Reid!

Some friends from Texas and Keystone Church just adopted their first child and I just HAVE to share their blog with yall! Though struggling having a child of their own they always trusted the Lord and what a blessing He has given them. I hope that their story brings tears of joy to your eyes (like me... I can't stop crying) and is just a reminder to all of us of His love and faithfulness!

More Snow and Anderson's STATS

We woke up this morning to snow flurries falling! Karoline was SO excited! We just got a little dusting but it was great entertainment for the kids. After breakfast we went to have Anderson's 15 month appointment and met our new doctor. I liked her a lot and Karoline was really excited because one of the nurses had on Dora scrubs. Karoline called them Dora pajamas. Anyway, here is our little man's stats:

Weight: 21 lbs. 8oz. (10%)
Height: 31 1/4 inches (55%)
Head: 18 1/4 (20%)
(Karoline was about 5 lbs more and an inch taller at 15 months!)

The doc said he was just a little boy and she is fine with that. He was great in all other areas too. She asked me if he could talk and I said yes but of course he didn't talk for her!

Here are some crafts Karoline made in preschool: the first is a snow man that she "helped" cut out and painted and then they did some kind of frosting/ snow like effect on top. The other is a snowball. They cut it out, glued foil to it and then painted the foil white and added silver glitter. She has so much fun at preschool.

OH SO YUMMY! Mexican Corn Chowder

I MUST share...


1/2 stick of butter/ margarine
1 large onion- chopped
2 cups diced, baked potatoes, bake or boil before (more if you like it more chunky)
1 cup water
2 cups milk (whole is what I used with a little bit of whipping cream! Not very healthy I know, but it was so good!)
2 large cans cream style corn
1 can Rotel
salt/pepper to taste
1/2 lb. Velvetta cheese

Saute onions in butter and add all other ingredients in pot (except cheese). Simmer for 30 minutes then add cheese. Stir occasionally and serve once cheese is melted and blended.
