Growing Up

I understand that Anderson's birthday is coming up next and he will be 2 YEARS OLD, but it's Karoline that is growing up so fast in my eyes. Maybe it's because she is getting so tall and her little rolls are going away on her legs, or that she's now in school 5 days a week and LOVING it, always asking to do a project. She even has a little "boyfriend" that she calls "O'Dog". His name is Owen.

She just is changing SO much... literally... changes her clothes at least 4 times a day. But this seems to be her favorite outfit these days. Her gymnastics outfit with Cinderella slippers and usually a headband, or a crown, or her eye mask that she where's when she sleeps (though not pictured here).

Craft... Kind Of.

Now that school has started, the kids are bringing home art work all the time. I HAVE to hang them ... They are so beautiful! I came up with an idea... I got my inspiration from Land Of Nod. They have these cute art clips but they are $12.95 each (that only hold 3 pieces of art) plus shipping.

I got all the supplies at Michael's today for 2 strands for Karoline's room and 2 strands for Anderson's room for $12.00! And it took me about 15 minutes to make them. It's SO easy... Here is what you need...

1) Hot glue gun
2) Wooden clothes pins
3) Cute, already painted, wooden art (At my Michael's they were on sale 3 for $1)
4) Ribbon, string, or twine

Anderson's are space themed to match his upcoming "big boy" room & Karoline's are just all things she loves. They are so cute. Hope you make a some...

GiGi & PopPop's Visit

TJ's parents have been so supportive of us moving here & starting Wellspring. They love what we are doing and have been so active in helping us find supporters and even their home church in Louisiana has become one of Wellspring's main supporters. They did not want to miss our grand opening and we were SO glad they came! Their visit was too short and they have promised to come back for a WHOLE WEEK for Christmas!

We had a great time though... we hung our around the house, they kept the kids while we were busy with Wellspring stuff, and Sunday they helped with set up at church. After we enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Pine Lakes then Barna & I returned to Pine Lakes with the guys and drove the golf carts while the guys played golf. It was so fun! Wellspring's Grand Opening...

For the sake of not repeating myself I am just going to post the same post that was on our Wellspring Partners blog so I don't have to write everything all over again... So I guess in a way I am repeating myself if you have already read that blog... oh, well! :) Here you go...

Blessed...
That's the word that comes to mind when I think about our grand opening! It was AWESOME, AMAZING, WONDERFUL... I could go on and on! God MOVED in awesome ways. We had a lot of people there and 6 people made decisions! If you want more details please read Trey's Blog.

Personally, I was blown away at all the Lord took care of and did and I truly am amazed that TJ and I get to be a part of this! I don't have words to describe what it's like to see God so clearly moving and changing lives right before my eyes! I pray we can touch so many lives so that they may know the FREEDOM that comes from a relationship with Christ! The verse I kept reading over and over again last week was Ephesians 3:20-21...

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

We were also blessed and amazed that our local news stations covered our stories from the weekend. We were in the Sun News twice, Channel 15 ran add's for our Gas For Groceries event all week for FREE, & WMBF News covered BOTH our Saturday event and our Grand Opening! WOW... Thank you LORD!

Are You Praying?

In ministry it is very easy to feel discouraged, overwhellmed, and like you will not succeed. We have had our set of challenges this week for sure. I do appreciate the phone calls, emails, and a few verses received! Your support is so important. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing."
I came across this verse last night while I was reading and I wanted to share it with you...

"Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus" Eph. 2:20

I felt like the Lord was telling me this is what Wellspring Church is about... setting the foundation for NEW LIVES to be built on HIM for HE is our cornerstone!

A Call To Pray And Chick-Fil -A

I sent this note in an email to some and posted it on Facebook, but I wanted to post it on here too... because this is SO important to us, as a family, and to the Body of Christ!

Friends and Family,

I am calling on you to PRAY! The official LAUNCH of the church TJ and I are a part of is THIS COMING SUNDAY, September 13th! We are SO excited but also a little afraid. This is a HUGE day for our small church and our family.

It was right around this time last year that TJ and I were feeling the call to leave California, leaving great friends, a wonderful church, financial stability, etc. to move to Myrtle Beach and help start Wellspring Church. That was the hardest decision we have ever made but we KNOW God clearly called us to be a part of this ministry.

We desire to see lives CHANGED for Christ! We desire for Wellspring Church to be a place where people can belong before they believe & a place where they can come to know their SAVIOR, and grow in a close relationship with HIM.

I ask that you please pray! Every day I am going to post a new prayer request on our Wellspring Partners Blog,
www.wellspringpartners.blogspot.com. If you would just commit to checking it daily this week and praying for that specific request.

We need EVERYONE praying! Also, as you are praying and if you find a verse that you want to share or a word of encouragement for TJ, Trey, or something for our whole launch team please email it to me or leave a comment. We need your encouragement! And spread the word. Tell friends, your small group, or others you know will pray to pray!

Did yall dress up and get your FREE Chicken Sandwich? We did... TJ, Karoline, & I. Anderson has a double ear infection so he stayed with my parents. Karoline was SO excited and she was so cute, as always, in her uniform.

But here's a funny story. Shortly after we sat down to eat "THE COW" came to visit. She is scared to DEATH of the cow. But the funniest thing she did was cover up her food. She was so scared the cow was going to take her sandwich! Down to the last bite she covered it up! It was so funny! She did yell bye to the cow on our way out.

Perfect Family Not Pictured

Every year on the first day of football season we take a family picture in front of our Auburn flag. I had no idea with the craziness that was this day how we were going to fit in time to all get in our Auburn gear and take a picture.

We got home from our neighborhood Fall Festival, see pictures HERE, tried to put ourselves back together, and take a cute, perfect little family picture. Here's what it looks like...

It's the best we got. You should have seen the rest of them. Even though I think we will have to re-do the picture at some point, it does kind of perfectly portray what our week has been like.

- TJ a little cut off from the family, because Wellspring's launch is COMING SOON! He's working so hard.
- Karoline not paying attention, drifting off into her own world

I have to add this sweet story... Karoline woke up this morning SO excited. She put on her Auburn uniform and was ready to jump in the car... for a TRIP TO AUBURN! She thought we were actually GOING to the Auburn game. She was CRUSHED that we were not going. I felt horrible! I hope we can go to a game next year!

Anderson had a GREAT day at school. His teachers loved him and we love his teachers! He is only going M,W,F. I think he really enjoyed all the activities and being with other kids his age. It's fun that he and Jon, Trey & Danielle's youngest, are in the same class. Now they will have fun at school and church. Anderson walked right in the room, got a crayon, and never looked back. I was proud of him!

I CANNOT believe Karoline is in 3 year old preschool! She is growing up TOO fast! She was MORE THAN EXCITED that school was starting! She had a great day and we are SO excited about all that she is going to learn this year. We love her teachers Mrs. Mazie and Mrs. Swezey!

My Class... As I said I am teaching a 4 year class for September and we had a great day today. I love my assistant teacher and the kids were great! I think I will really enjoy teaching.
